Volunteers

LASSO Events are 100% dependent on volunteer workers to fulfill the various projects and programs we support. Many of our volunteers come from organizations or groups who are looking to make a difference in the community. In addition, many employers ask their employees to give back in unique ways as well as individual families just wanting to give of themselves and raise their children with a serving heart. Student and religious organizations are frequent volunteers with LASSO. All of the time, energy, resource and care that our volunteers give to each setting of service is absolutely invaluable to those they serve!

Volunteer Stories

UWYO Women’s Lacrosse

Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

Whenever we get a call from the Laramie Foster Closet for clothing pick up we are blessed to know that our community is in full support of their dream to impact the needs of the foster families in our town. That call also mobilizes a unique group of young ladies who have been truly drawn to that purpose! The Womens Lacrosse Team at the University of Wyoming is a small but mighty group both on and off the field. They are more than ready for the challenge of facing various collegiate opponents, but moreover, they are eager to serve within their community when the need arises.

Laramie Rotary Club

Service Above Self

Rotary International is known globally for its efforts in service to its local communities and the Laramie Rotary is no different! The Laramie Lunch Rotary meets weekly at O’Dwyer’s restaurant on Grand Ave to network as local business and community leaders, but also to hear and learn about various needs and organizations in town that are supporting a variety of needs in our culture today. Recently, several Rotary members assisted LASSO in its partnership with the City of Laramie in the annual Laramie Clean Up Day! Thank you to all who gave their time! We look forward to working more and more with this great group!

Mason H.

Highlight Of A Servant

Every so often there comes a young person that re-encourages your faith in the youth of America…Mason H is one of those guys. With a genuine servant’s heart, he is willing to assist in most any circumstance. Whether it is helping a family move, supporting a local charity or simply just being available, he is a great example of servanthood to his peers, young and older…we can always use guys and gals like him!

White Water Christian Youth

Projects Succeed with Great Attitudes

Teenagers today could pretty much chose to do anything else than get their hands dirty for someone else’e plans or purpose. However, the youth of WhiteWater Christian Church were willing to put the phones and games down for a few hours and give the Vista DeLaLuna bed & breakfast a huge help as they got their property ready for summer patrons!
